News about Universal Studios Japan has been revealed with a brand new Super Nintendo World commercial. In addition to this, there’s also a Super Nintendo World Global Kick Off Presentation happening which has provided even more information.

Firstly, we received a rough timeframe as to when patrons will be able to attend Super Nintendo World in Universal Studios Japan in Osaka. Super Nintendo World is planning to be open before the Summer Olympics in Tokyo this year. Following from this, they’ll also begin gearing up to launch Super Nintendo World in Hollywood, Orlando and Singapore.

USJ marketing director Ayumu Yamamoto said, “If Disney is the dreamworld then USJ is the wake world where we will energize you and make you feel alive” and this absolutely captures the spirit of Super Nintendo World, as well as its new slogan “No Limit!”.

Following from this, the Super Nintendo World Commercial also revealed the new Power Up bands that interact with the smartphone application. This will allow you to collect digital coins and compete with others. Thierry Coup referred to it as “a life-size, living video game”.
